I am Bhrinda De Silva and I have over 12 years’ experience working in education supporting children with specific learning difficulties. I have been awarded a Level 7 Diploma in Teaching and Assessing Learners with Dyslexia/SpLDs.
My aim and passion is to help build students’ self-esteem and confidence. I work hard with each student to empower them and help them discover the way they learn best. Unlocking their strengths is the key to reaching their full potential!
I started working within primary schools supporting students in the classroom as well as delivering 1-2-1 and small group tuition daily. Now, I work as an HLTA and specialist teacher in a busy primary school. I also privately tutor and provide diagnostic assessments for dyslexia as well as educational gap analysis assessments for many local primary and secondary schools across Elmbridge.
I first became interested in dyslexia when a close family member was diagnosed with dyslexia as an adult which prompted me to train at the Helen Arkell Charity to become a Specialist Teacher in Dyslexia (Level 5) and a Dyslexia Assessor (Level 7). I was awarded my Assessing Practising Certificate through PATOSS (Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties).
I am based in Molesey (KT8) but cover surrounding areas in and around Elmbridge and Surrey. Please get in touch if you would like to chat about an assessment for your child, or yourself, and any questions or concerns you may have.
